Patch 5.22 notes

I just realized I've been linking the OCE patch notes. Hah. Anyway...

You've survived the patch notes.

You've read the dev blogs.

You've played a few games in the preseason! And you didn't forget your masteries.

We're going to be chilling in the dev corner this week to talk about any of the preseason changes coming in the patch. Hopefully by tomorrow you'll also have a few games under your belt.

Also: you're not here to pose opinions as questions.

Mordekaiser's has officially been dethroned as the terror of bot lane due to Caitlyn holding him hostage with her headshots, graves outpushing and outbursting him, Corki and Koggles shredding him like aluminum foil. This is all made worse by his really, really, really bad base armor of 20.

I personally didn't even like duo lane Morde but will this loss of power be seized to give him some more power, especially in solo lanes. Something a lot of Mordekaiser fans really wanted. The marksmen changes actually evicted him from his supposed "home" bot so what's your stance on Morde's future?

Still, preseason is a scary place but it's already evident that he'll be a pain to actually tweak o_O

you're not here to pose opinions as questions.

So...you don´t want your players opinions on your game?

I mean, most of the important questions usually should lead to both sides reflecting their positions. But if you only accept questions that don´t voice any sort of opinion it´s just very basic information without reflecting anything. It´s basically politcs/promotion - but not a discussion. So what´s the point of having that? you could just write a FAQ per day and it´ll be less work to achieve the same.

I want to talk about the changes to minions; they scare me. What worries me is that the subtle and interesting mini game of wave control will be damaged or worst case destroyed.

It's a fascinating and subtle thing to control the minion waves, and when done successful you can set up freezes to deny CS to enemy, or make large waves that damage side lanes as you do objectives. What worries me is that the changes to minions, make them auto push which makes setting up pushes and doing freezes much harder to control.

What is the intent behind the changes, and what is your thoughts about wave manipulation and the new system?

Why didn't Cass get mana buffs?

In your internal playtests, about how long did it take for people to learn the new items and settle on builds and such, specifically for Marksmen? I think that with all of the new items, and that every ADC and most AD champions build vastly differently, that relearning builds is a fun challenge. But did the novelty ever wear off and people were able to say easily "I am playing Caitlyn, Cait has X features in her kit, and I am playing against X champions, so X item is good for this situation"?
