Hey Everyone,

Starting with patch 9.14 and beyond, we’ll be on a consistent weekly patch cycle for TFT patch notes. In the meantime, we’ve been updating at a fast and furious pace and we’ve been sharing our changes at a similar cadence. But that speed has a price and, understandably, you might’ve missed something. So, we wanted to aggregate all the changes over the last week in one place.

Without further ado:

July 3rd (These changes just went live)

Tier 2 and 3 units

Tier 2 and 3 units are currently too risky to star-up when compared to tier 1’s. To broaden the pool of champions worth considering, we’re increasing the probability of finding Tier 2’s and 3’s in the shop while reducing the amount of Tier 1’s that appear.

Please let us view ppl by spectate mode and also it will be really useful if you can bring a item list and combination between them by pressing 1 button.. let's say.."TAB"

Nice changes for a start at least. Kinda wish we would do away with double stacking items though, as that seems to be the biggest offender. Also Glacial still needs a hit. Having your entireteam stunlocked for the entire round is not ok when they only have 2-4 Glacials. Should drop the % to like 20/25/30.

#i think Hechtech Gunblade item 3146 is bugged atm

i saw Hextech Gunblade 3 times in 3 different games and every single time it healed basically nothing (and yes : in all these situations the champs were not full HP or almost full HP xD) :

  • i had Akali with Gunblade -> she landed a crit with het ult for ~4000 dmg but healed almost no HP back - she only healed for around 100 HP or something like that but she should have healed 1000 HP!
  • i had Gunblade on a Blademaster (i think it was Aatrox) -> he went absolutely ham on the enemy team and landed a crap ton of autoattacks (with the Blademaster buff) but he healed basically nothing - his HP bar was barely moving
  • my friend had a Brand with Gunblade -> he used his ult and completely bursted down a couple of enemies but once again: he healed almost no HP at all

it feels like Hextech Gunblade only heals for around 2.5% of of all damage dealt and not for 25% maybe you guys should take a look at the item

The RNG on how many items you get is really frustrating to deal with. I for one would really appreciate a mechanic that evened this out some, such as more creep rounds having guaranteed drops (alongside a lower drop rate to keep the average # the same)

Just wondering: How is damage reduction from Armor and Magic Resist calculated? Is the calculation for TFT the same as for Summoner's Rift?

why are you nerfing garen around being a crap tier unit, when you can just promote him up to a t2 unit?

its correct that hes quite strong for such a cheap unit, but i dont think knights should be nerfed until they feel too weak. their synergy is already garbage tier, and their secondary trait is their only saving grace. especially not around certain items, as long as items drop rates arent even normalized. if his ability is stronger than average for the cheapest units in the game, you could just make him a t2 instead of a t1 and let him keep spinning to win.

do knights even have a t2 unit currently? theyre all either t1 or much higher with poppy, sejuani and kayle, so there is room to just add him in there.

edit.: oh my god, you nerfed garen because he was too strong with morellonomicon and then also cut morellonomicons damage in half at the same time. lol.

this looks a lot like summoners rift balancing all over. some champion is too powerful with a specific item, and you dump him to garbage tier by nerfing the item and the champion in the same patch.

can you just chose one instead?

also how the fuck do you keep patching this game without removing the rng in the item drop rate? its the most critisized aspect of the mode overall. there is no strategic element to getting dicked over by drop rates.

i just played a game where i had literally 2 components after the first 3 minion rounds, and one of the players had 3 completed items.

6 yordles are so broken it should practically be deemed a gamebreaking bug. I am not sure why you guys think yordles and even demons are underpowered when they aren't at all. Meanwhile pretty much every other class buff like nobles, blademasters and gunslingers are nowhere near close.

Do you guys even remember that you put 6 knights in the game? It's so unplayable and so terrible that I have no idea why it's even in the game. It's like salt in the wounds when you worry about yordles and demons and can't even see the most underpowered and terrible thing in the game by far that is the 6 knight buff.

The game is already stale with limited options that I am already bored. If you any of you guys are desparate to win than just get 6 yordles and afk. Make a rank3 garen and it will faceroll for you to the end. My personal favorite is still 6 demons. It's actually unbeatable if done right.

"reach level 6 before the second draft (round 11)" is impossible. Second draft is actually round 6 as reaching level 6 before round 11 doesn't actually complete the quest. Getting level 6 by round 6 is actually impossible and a lower than a 2% chance as you need pyke on first carosel (which is already hard enough since everyone wants him for shojin pyke) then you need to get graves in the next 3 minion rounds, and then when you hit level 3 you need to hit the 5% gp chance. Then after you hit the 5% gp chance you need to lose streak and get 4 gold from the chest twice in the next two pvp rounds before having to sell all units because you can't do it on the last pvp round since it goes to the carosel and not back to team edit so in theory its a less than 2% chance and i have wasted too many hours of my life trying to complete this mission.

One thing, could you guys please look into the issue that some people (although apparently not that many) have regarding the camera? Whenever I play TFT I cannot look at other people's boards, if I click on the other people's icons or use the numbers all it does is show my board in a mirrored manner.

I suspect this has to do with the fact that I tend to alternate between locked and unlocked camera in Normal game, but locked is around 70% of my gametime, and maybe it's just hard-locking the camera due to how my games start/end, I tried some config file changes this morning but haven't had the chance to try them out.

Although I doubt it has something to do with it, I'm being forced to use a Mac computer at the current time (egh).

In a more game-centric subject rather than bugfix, I feel the items need some changing, not talking about the drops mind you (althought that in itself is another matter, although I think it's being looked at).

I feel Champions should have more limitations when it comes to items, namely, not being able to stack items of the same name, also it'd be interesting to see what happens what would happen if the limit was 2 items as opposed to the current 3.

As the game is right now, the meta is generally to just get a "main carry" and shove all the items on them, and generally speaking spreading the items out is an ill advised idea, so reducing the "shoving all the items on this dude" strat could open way to a more diversified item meta.

Really digging TFT, but two requests: One is quality-of-life and the other is a balance issue.

I've been enjoying playing with friends, and using the voice-chat is nice and easy. But when one of us loses, they're cut off from the voice chat. It's really obnoxious and unnecessary. Please let us stay in voice chat together.

It's probably already been mentioned, but the item RNG is really wiggy. Getting screwed over by item drops is really discouraging. Instead of each minion have x% chance to drop an item (or whatever the system is now), maybe something less random would help prevent this problem. For example, surviving the PvE round gets 1 item automatically, strong/fast victory gets 2 items, and RNG the 3rd.

Hello . Can you please update the classes and origins in the game . So when the player hover the mouse over a passive then it can show to which champions it is running .

Sometimes passives feels awkward when running on all as i need to know which one is working to who . Also it will help me to organise the team .

Karthus is very broken now, keep spamming ulti and even beat my 2 star Kayle with Noble aura with 3 3 star but enemy Karthus won game solo without any aura and no 3 star with same size of teams.

Are you guys planning on doing something about the near impossible beta pass mission in week 2? On OCE and it doesn't look like it's gonna get fixed by the end of the week when the missions expire since every riot member I have talked to just seems to ignore the issue.

Yordle buff was totally unnecessary, it's already strong. Reason why ppl don't play it is because it's boring.

Demon buff is also unnecessary, it's also strong enough already.

Nidalee with Rapid Firecannon needs to be fixed please.

This dodge things , like the glacial stun , is very frustrating to play against . Why not changing it to something like % resistance on YTordle , & Slow ( mouvement & attack speed ) for glacial ?
