Getting tired of seeing posts complaining about matchmaking

Posts like these usually serve no purpose other than for the OP to complain, vent, or get others to agree with them or join in their circlejerk. Apparently, everyone on the boards was never responsible for their lost games.

No, clearly it was Riot and their stupid matchmaker's fault, for pairing them up with feeders, trolls, sucky teammates, or bronzies, while apparently the opposing side is composed of all Diamond+ one tricks with LCS macro and teamfighting skills.

Newsflash people, this is a competitive 5 v. 5 team game. Key words being competitive and team. At the end of the day, for one team to win, then the other must lose.

All Riot's matchmaking system does is pair you up with four other strangers, against 5 other strangers it assumes you all, as a team, have a 50/50 shot of beating. Same goes for the other side. That goes for every. Single. Damn. Game. Even if you lost 20 in a row, or won 20 in a row, you're matched the same each game. It can't tell if someone is having a bad day, is massively tilted, will get an off role or role they've never even played before, will get their champion banned and/or face a counter-pick, or is a massive and utter pain in the ass. All it knows is that those 4 strangers paired up with you are there solely because the system judges that you are equivalent in skill level to them, and they to you. Likewise to the enemy team.

5 roles, 5 people. No one can perfectly win their role and lane every game. And if they don't, then so be it. You'll just have to go with it.
