Never been so disappointed with Riot

The gameplay over the past couple seasons has certainly been questionable and the design changes have caused a lot of people to quit I think everyone can agree on that. My group of 8 friends who got together over League of Legends now only has 2 people that still play League of Legends occasionally. Either way I still liked to jump on the boards a lot because it felt like I could keep up with the game and community without actually playing the game.

Riot however, never really even cared about the boards at least it felt like that way to me. Riot recently stated they wanted players to "hold them accountable to balance the game and keep a large variety of champions viable", but at the same time they suddenly announce they're removing boards and archives in a week?

A lot of people can agree gameplay had toxic rants and a lot of the time the arguments going on weren't helpful

HOWEVER, when well-constructed gameplay discussions and concerns brought up on the gameplay boards were going ignored by Riot for multiple years now I'd argue that is a large part of why gameplay became such a mess with rants.

Riot how are we ever supposed to hold you guys accountable if you're just ignoring well-spoken arguments on your own board system and only ever give attention to some Reddit posts?

You basically pulled a Twisted Treelines with the boards by letting it wither for years before you suddenly kill it because you didn't bother to invest any time or resources into it.

I started playing League in 2015, and have used the boards almost every week since I joined in 2015. I've been through a lot of ups and downs with you guys, and I may not have posted or commented a lot, but a lot of my feelings and thoughts on gameplay were influenced by this place. I laughed at your memes, was wowed by your art concepts, and at times got frustrated by some arguing. But through it all we were a happy little community with some toxic behavior that was allowed to fester because of straight up neglect.

I hate to be one of the other thousands of virtue signallers who yell at Riot for no reason, but I finally feel compelled to say "Shame on you Riot"
