The fact that you need to click on a post to upvote/downvote seems like a waste of time to me and it is really discouraging me from visiting the boards. It was the major factor why I left EU boards, but now that this is here, I guess I'll be less involved in them, I will occasionally check the "Hot" page but that's just about it...

Yeah the only time I downvote without reading are the posts that want gay/Les/Bi or even genderfluid champs, I got nothing against anyone like this but it's just that it's pointless to add

The concept of gender fluid is someone without a fixed gender identity, and is not a elective process. They simply 1 day feel like they'd rather be male and other days they want to be female, or they may simply feel that they're both at the same time. And no, no one gives a shit if a mental condition is illogical or not, it doesn't on that basis invalidate its existence; just like when you're suffering from hypothermia and close to dying, many will actually feel warm or even hot instead of cold (this is also why many corpses found in cold climates are without cloths), it's completely illogical but doesn't change the fact such phenomenon exists.
So if you want to judge something, at least get it right, or mostly right, before you voice your criticism.
And conveniently, it also goes into this topic: If you want to downvote or upvote posts, at least read it first. Sure some posts are short and you can read by simply hovering it, but most aren't, and it's meaningless to allow voting to the viewers haven't even read the damn thing. Not to mention, it's just 1 extra click away anyway.

I was saying it in a way that is understandable, so I do have it straight but it's basically the same premise when I said it that way.

ModJikker4 votesThe reason was to stop people from downvoting threads without even reading them causing many to get lost in the sauce simply because they didn't like the title or poster. By having to go into a thread (like on the old forums) more effort is required which means many mindless downvotes are not given as often.
We can definitely take this feedback into consideration.

Unfortunately, it needs to be combined with a bit more control from the side of the moderators regarding certain spammy posters. For instance, take Yenn's complaint posts (sometimes, you have 5-6 on a single page if sorting by new) over at Gameplay or the occasional mindless thread spammer.
ModJikker2 votesThe issue is that we cannot see who is downvoting and some people downvote threads mindlessly regardless of the content. We are not trying to stop the downvoting of spam or actual rule breaking threads, but rather encouraging people to click on those threads so they can report them to us. We are stopping the downvoting of threads people just don't like the titles of or don't like the poster regardless of content while encouraging people to not simply "downvote and move on" to threads that need to be reported to us.
Does that make sense?
