Gaining Honor at End of Season

I have been trying to climb to platinum, and this is the first season I might make it. I am excited about the victorious skin too because I wasn't gold last season. I was chat restricted and honor reverted to zero based on one game where I had a teemo support admitting to inting in chat, the entire team flamed me and I responded "I can't do anything because I have a trash troll support", and two games before, our top admitted to running it down, and I said "Please stop or dc, this would be easier if you weren't in this game." after they were flaming the team. I admit that I should have just muted and kept my mouth shut, but this happened a week and a half ago and support said that it takes roughly a week and a half to two weeks to gain and honor checkpoint at the fastest. With 8 checkpoints to go, and 8 weeks left in the season, that makes it impossible to get back up to 2, get any rewards, etc, when almost every single game I see worse, from one side or the other. LONG STORY SHORT, for people that get notifications that you are honored 300% more than the average player, and typically very positively contribute to the community, but have 1 bad day, can riot make is a little easier to get back to honorable? Or just in general this late in the season? Not saying super easy, so people don't just flame badly then get back up in a week, but at least possible? I think playing 200 games over the course of 2 months should be more than enough to make up for two bad games and to show you are honorable (not saying that is the solution, but still)

I have no experience with climbing up from honor 0, but I have heard that it is absolutely possible to do in a week or two.

The caveat is that you don't gain ground automatically. There's an area between "honorable" and "getting punished." Riot has clarified that you can maintain dishonorable status if you are still drawing valid reports to your account, even if you aren't getting punished for them.

If it's taking you a long time, that's likely the issue. You should think hard about what a truly positive player looks like, and try to be that. The system is designed to force you to improve, so if you haven't done so, you won't make progress.
