What even is General Discussion?

I only know three things about GD:

  1. It's referred to as GD sometimes
  2. It has weird formatting
  3. For whatever reason, I'm afraid to go there

What is General Discussion. Also, why is Miscellaneous gone. I didn't realize it wasn't here anymore until I tried to make this post. So instead this post is in Boards Feedback. http://i.imgur.com/ECxLzBs.jpg

1: Misc died. Infact, The only real reason it was alive half the time was a more SFW version of GD. After the merge, GD adopted more kosher rules.

2: The Formating is Chronological. It's for the benefit of the end-discussion, As for a lot of people, Sometimes finding responses can be difficult, if not impossible in Discussion view. For the few that do decent posts, It benefits them because they can go to the end of whatever page instead of scrolling down half a mile.

3: As closed gated and bully-ish we seem, Dont be afraid to test the waters. Just.. Dont meme about old players or try to bring up anything against the rules. ok?

The formatting is in Chronological view (you can switch to that on any board, and Player Recruitment uses that format solely as well, but it sucks for replying to other comments within the thread).

It has a strong community, and the rules are a little different, so it's going to be a bit different from most other boards, as it has more regular users (that often don't post anywhere else) and lots of non-LoL content. It held a similar role to the Miscellaneous board, but Misc didn't have a real community which is why it's gone now; for any case where you would normally post on Misc (you don't know where your content fits, or it has no appropriate board) you'll post on GD. Make sure you read the guidelines stickied on the top of the GD board and those underneath the boards list, as they are a little different.
