Question about mods modifying comments

As far as I know of, i did not say anything derogitory or unrelated in the bit that was removed.... but it appears to me that either there was a glitch and over a paragraph was removed from one of my commentaries or a moderator removed it. If i remember correctly though it posted the entire thing beforehand however so i am not leaning towards it being a glitch.

It is not a major thing imo, but arnt mods supposed to inform the person in a small commentary the reason why that bit was removed especially when it was a good chunk of a commentary as well?

Can you link the specific comment? I can take a look and see if an edit occurred, because this is a bit odd -- you should always get a moderator post and a [removed by moderation] edit made.
