I have found a problem that I am unsure if others have.

I have noticed that when I am typing a fairly lengthy comment on a post.... after a while part of my message will just disappear when I submit it.

I had noticed it once a while ago and had thought it got modified by someone.... but it was checked out by Wuks that nobody had modified it. I have been paying a little more attention since kept an eye on my posts incase this happened again, and several times it has happened. (2:48)

While I am using my phone and typing up a lengthy post... i will have the full post be typed out, but when I post it... it cuts off part of it. It seems to be more time based rather than length, however the longer the post the more time it takes to type. (2:51)

So currently I am seeing if it will cut off for this post after a certain amount of time to try and troubleshoot it while also lengthening the post a little bit at a time with me posting the time i finished each part so that I am able to see where it cuts off. The information above the line is the important part, and i will start doing 10 minute intervals of typing a new sentence for the test. (2:56)

Although, I am only going to 30 minutes of time used on making this post. I had just typed one up that took less than 20 minutes and it had cut off so this will be my last one before I post. (3:07)

So no, it doesnt do it with posts.... only comments. At least I feel better that it isnt my posts i should be worried about.... only comments.

It's not a fix, just a workaround, but you could save a copy while you're writing in something like Notepad or Word on your phone just in case (not sure what program you'd actually use or have as options).

Something like Notepad won't keep things like bolded or italicized words, but I still tend to use it more on my PC.

Does this never happen when you type up posts on other websites? I don't recall this being an issue for me here and have not encountered it elsewhere. Then again I've not tried making posts on my phone.
