Let's Just Remove PB Entirely

I won't say that all of the boards are an echo chamber, but that one is clearly made for people to rage out about being banned, and people to get specialist banners from being white knights and saying people deserved it. People literally don't even try to logically connect evidence of actual issues to people who posted about being punished in PB for how often their client or server wont allow them to play the game properly, and instead sit there trying to explain to you that "being unable to load isn't an excuse to ruin 9 other people's game" like they just spammed afk. If there's an obvious issue that's being widely displayed over 4 different boards (PB, RaB, GD, and CD) then there's more than likely an actual issue to be addressed.

This forum would be a lot cleaner without PB, tbh. "Report a Bug" can help flag issues by having everyone who gets legitimately screwed have more concentrated noise, and you all can make a rule to restrict/ban people who abuse RaB or spam their sob stories on other boards. Current PB is basically just a rage pit and a gathering place for senseless white knights...but even I have to admit that removing it just opens the floodgates to other boards unless there's actual ground rules in place to dissuade that type of conversation.

TL;DR: PB is literally one giant, massive boards violation in need of deletion. [sg-lulu]

Ideally, we want to move Player Behavior in a direction in which people can ask for feedback/advice on player behavior, and it not be an echo chamber of "IFS sucks, Riot is shit, I don't deserve this ban, you're all morons." As an official forumsite for Riot, having a section for behavior is basically a must, so deleting it isn't possible.

This requires a LOT of work, but I can say we are working on changes for PB that should help make it stand on its own feet better.

I could care less about getting a banner, hell I didn’t even know that’s how you got one. Putting that aside for now though, the Player Behavior boards exist because, as you said, people seem to think their being banned was a mistake and feel like they have a case to get unbanned. The PB board is not, as you called it, a place for white knights to get their recognition.

Also, I’m not sure if you’re aware of this, but people post those threads in General Discussion, Gameplay, Bug Report, etc. removing Player Behavior will simply cause many of those posts to migrate to other parts of the board where they are not relevant.

I try to explain how players should act as any normal adult would to another normal adult, even though I understand many of these posts are from young teens or even preteen youth. If my words can’t convince them then so be it, at least I gave it the old college try.

It is definitely a low quality board, made up mostly of salty people coming off of punishments, and a group of dedicated posters who fanatically defend every aspect of Riots system. But the only thing removing it would do is just move all of those posts over to a different board.

PB boards these days feels like a free way for Riot to offload work from their support staff. It basically compliments the Blitzcrank Bot.

Riot would do well to allocate more resources into their behavioral system across the board, and abandon the practice of having us players handle these people ourselves. The result is more often than not pointless forum mudslinging rather than any sort of productive conversation.
