Accounts that have no match history shouldn't be allowed on the boards?

Either they are alt accounts to downvote/upvote on multiple accounts or they are people who are ruining the legitimacy of the boards. If you look at someones match history vs their activity on the boards. Why is someone arguing about a game they haven't played in 3 to even 6 months. Like please god if you see a thread about solo q,flex q, aram etc etc and you don't play it. PLEASE FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED DO NOT REPLY TO THE THREAD It's like when back in the day you tried telling your teacher in school, he/she was wrong. 99% of the time your wrong and they were right. Don't comment on what you don't play. please thanks

If we're talking about making informed posts, the Boards are more or less an inclusive place for all players to have discussions about the game. They don't need to be super invested to have an opinion and get to express it. Some people post on a smurf because they don't want to be bugged with invites on their main, or maybe their main is in a region that can't use the NA boards but they want to participate in this community for legitimate reasons (maybe they are a US player working abroad so play on the Turkey server). Sometimes they don't want their history to be unfairly targeted to discredit their argument rather than it being judged based on its own merit (rank ≠ knowledge).

However, I am not ignorant of the fact that people do use smurfs to post for malicious or otherwise illegitimate reasons. If someone is being a jerk, it doesn't matter if they are a well known and highly skilled player with years of presence in the community; let the moderation team know by reporting them or visiting us on the Moderation Discord. If they are simply ignorant of the discussion and are making a bad argument, you are not obligated to engage them in discussion; just move on and talk to someone else if you feel that way. They do have a right to speak (granted they aren't violating Universal Rules ), and you likewise have the right to go about the discussion without them.

If I'm not wrong you only see their ranked games if you're not their friend. But I guess you can see their match history with op.gg anyway. It's really unfair if they aren't allowed on the boards just for that reason. I hope you're not trying to become one with your username o.o

The only thing I'd add to DTN's post is that there already are limitations on posting, commenting, and voting that are built in. For the majority of the boards, the limit is someone must be level 30 to vote. While this doesn't prevent all bad-intent smurfs, it certainly does help I think. The limits for posting/commenting are different by board and are generally lower just to allow newer players to discuss things.
