Can the mods start taking down all the nightblue stuff please?

Like I get it, it's people want to talk about it but LOOK AT THE TOP PAGE it's all basically the same thing. It doesn't even matter like riot said how they deal with this stuff they ban first then unban if he was not griefing WE DID THIS WITH THE WHOLE singed guy I think.

This is basically the definition of a echo chamber the people on the boards are biased towards off meta so it just becomes nothing but people being mad and nothing else THE POST AT THE TOP RIGHT NOW IS CALLED "Nightblue gets a player Falsely banned." even those the he clearly broke the rules but instead of people talking about it and having a discussion about how off meta should be and shouldn't be allowed, there basically just FUCK RIOT AND FUCK nightblue.

What's the point of letting this stay when there is very little discussion happening? All your doing by letting the post stay up is adding more toxicity in the boards.

Also it would be nice for someone to explain how they all haven't gotten taking down since they all posted to the wrong board since there doing it under general discussion not player behavior when the whole problem is nightblue was toxic and a Nubrac got banned for trolling TWO THINGS involving player behavior. Like someone please explain it to me since I thought general was for topics that don't have a place in other boards or things that involve non league things.

I'd personally suggest the mods force a megathread on it and delete every other post mentioning it.

I think that is a good idea but it has to be heavily monitored since the problem is that the boards biased towards off meta meaning the people saying fuck riot and fuck nightblue will get heavy upvoted and if someone disagree they get mass downvoted.

"Nightblue gets a player Falsely banned." Again this is the top post with a shit load of upvotes and it's clearly wrong and clearly anti nightblue there is no discussion to have with the people that upvote that and the mod team in my opinion doesn't have the man power to monitor that and create a actual discussion so it's better to just get rid of them.

Nothing, and i repeat, nothing states you cannot play teemo support mid. Nothing.

The only reason they stated they banned him was because they supposedly have a correlation to him doing it only when specific streamers are in game, with an intent to specifically annoy them. Other than that, he did nothing punishable, and if it wasnt for that supposed correlation, would never have been punished.

So again, no, off meta is allowed. Full stop. Without team support or permission.

Like he didn't communicate, he didn't work with his team, he picked against his team. There was no point in the game where he was trying to work with his team.

Telling your team you're going to play teemo support and how you're going to it and adjusting it to work with your team is how you do it. Not randomly picking teemo support and playing differently.

Not required. Ever. Even with riots own words, he did nothing wrong EXCEPT potentially do it to spite specific players. If not for that, they would not have taken action. And even that might get revoked if they cannot prove the correlation is actually why he did it, or literally just correlation.

Because theres no rule that says i need to talk to my team over what i intend to do. Zero rule. If i pick leona support without saying anything, is it against the rules? I didnt communicate did i? Then teemo support mid isnt against the rules either. Stop pretending like it is.

Again, that is not a rule that is enforceable. Its a suggestion, and only a suggestion.

Honestly, the boards are actually not against off-meta. They're just against nightblue being this toxic.

They're both wrong here. I don't believe Nub was banned for off-meta, he was more banned for never once attempting to communicate nor adapt his strategy, particularly in games where his strategy was clearly detrimental to the game.

I play off-meta all the time - I make sure people have a clear idea of what I expect it to do, and make it very clear that if I'm failing, I'll go with an alternative method (usually, funnel the jungler so he can snowball everyone else). Though that communication isn't necessary to play off meta, and you don't need their permission to play off meta, if you're refusing to play a team game with your teammates, and your strategy (like Nubrac's) is negatively impacting HALF YOUR TEAMMATES, you need to at least let them know the plan, or come up with an alternative method to account for the plan not working. He expected them to just magically know the plan, adapt to everything, and essentially make the game revolve around him. He also never once attempted to adapt in the case of a failed strategy, but continued attempting to force it to work.

He was banned for playing in a selfish manner that was a CLEAR detriment to 1/2 his team, and repeating that behavior consistently across multiple games.

Nightblue can say it's his doing all he wants...but the only things that are honestly his doing is making it a far bigger deal than it needed to be, and painting a massive fucking target on his back.

Though to your point, that main "megathread" of "Nightblue got him banned!" is by that account false information, and I concur that this topic is beyond out of hand.

But he did break the rules and he was rightfully punished. He even admitting to being guilty in the clip people are using.

It's hilarious that the same people who think trolling is fine are the ones who complain about champions being played properly seeing good performance. "I should be able to win with a pick that shows I don't know how to play, against someone who's practiced a difficult champ for 200 games."

I agree that there are too many of the same topic (in both sections of the boards). But General is for everything. Anything that PB could have General could have as well.

100% agree. What people are doing is against the boards "Naming and Shaming" rule. Even though it's a streamer, allowing 20 threads bashing someone else is not okay. Riot has already responded to the issue and people are still taking advantage of the situation to just flame another player without recourse. Mods need to step up and put their foot down. It's gone on long enough.

According to the boards mods it doesn't break the name and shame rule because they're already in the public eye.

Alright let's look at the rule:

#No personal attacks or witch-hunting, for any reason. Do not make posts accusing another player of causing a negative in-game experience, cheating, trolling, or any other malicious activity, even if you have hard evidence. Posts calling out other players for inappropriate names are likewise forbidden.

Doesn't say anywhere in there "Well if you all know who they are, then that's fine." or "Harassing streamers on the boards is okay.'

But it does say "for any reason" in there. If staff wants to clarify the rules to make witch hunting streamers ok so be it but as of right now, the rules clearly state that a lot of these topics are violating the board rules and the mods need to enforce the rules.
