@Mods. Getting back deleted posts.

NocturnalSheild··2 votes·2,882 views

Yo how can you ban me (jorencice) erase like 14 posts and not give me the copy of the posts.

How am i supposed to figure out what i did wrong so i can "learn" from the experience.

Also since when the fuck is bickering against the rules of the boards... was almost postive i didnt make personal attacks or talk about politics which is why i want those posts to review.

If theres a way to retrieve those posts can you let me know.

Thank you.

Hey Noc, Sometimes when a large amount of posts from a player need to be removed for similar/identical reasons, instead of providing each and every one a generalized statement will be given about the behavior. If you come to the Moderation Discord they can provide you additional information and feedback about the actions taken on your posts.

That's just...not even remotely helpful.

Sigh. Theres no way every single one of those posts were against the rules as i tried really hard to make sure they weren't. Therefore i need the posts themselves to reread what i wrote.

I get that you guys wanted an excuse to erase the entire comment chain as the guy i was arguing withs posts were also deleted. But did you have to still ban me? Have you guys never heard about warnings being like "yo you 2 stop bickering" i would of complied?

Also i hope the dude i was arguing against also got banned. As each and every post of his in that entire thread (and most of his postsing history) were personal attacks. Even a homosexual insult at one point.

You are correct that some of them appear to have been removed to remove the entire comment chain, and it's a valid question which ones were the problem. I'll include those below, once I address the following point:

But did you have to still ban me? Have you guys never heard about warnings being like "yo you 2 stop bickering" i would of complied?

The choice to provide a warning instead of taking action is at moderator discretion. Your specific account has 6 previous bans on history (going back to 2015), some of which are for similar behavior. As such, this feels like an appropriate reminder that this sort of behavior isn't allowed.

Here are the comments I see as a concern. The others are significantly less problematic, but when we need to cull as many comments as we did we often just remove the whole chain, as much of the conversation loses any meaning at that point.

Also i love all the personal attacks in all of your posts i mean out of 3 posts all 3 of them have insults in them. Glad we have such amazing white knights like you to protect people. And im sure your son will turn out to be a fine fellow. /s

EDIT: Holy shit. I looked at your posting history. Jesus dude. Id say 90% of them are harrasment of some form. Are you sure your on the right side of justice?

But fuck it gotta white knight literally everything even the smallest infractions that can easily be ignored.

There are unnecessary, insulting comments aimed at another player's behavior and/or your interpretation of said behavior. The "/s" tag does not make you exempt from the rules about not insulting other players. All community members should be treated respectfully, and if you feel you are not being treated as such you are welcome to use the report button and/or cease responding to the individual in question.

Then your son would go get into a fight for no reason? How do you know the bullies circumstances? He could of literally been molested his entire life and have a anger issue due to it (aka your just making ot worse like RIOT says you will)

If your point involves child molestation, find another way to make your point. That is not an appropriate topic to bring into a boards discussion.

You forget not everyone in the world is the same. And not everyone in the world is a peice of frozen water that has come from the sky thats not hail.

This line rather heavily implies that the OP is a "snowflake", which is a term used in-context as an insult. Avoiding the label by using other language isn't really sufficient to make your meaning any less clear.

Thank you for taking your time to do that. That was really helpful.

Although id argue the snowflake comment was fine since it wasnt targeting anyone (it meant not everyone needs to be protected not that the OP was one).

As for the 6 bans do you guys just not have a freaking forgiveness period or something?

Even real life crime does.

Or is it going to be 2020 and you guys going to go. Welp you got banned 6 years ago so this ban is appropriate... because if you dont i might as well just create a new alt every time i get banned since the account is forever sullied.

My pleasure!

That one is perhaps more borderline than the others, yes, but it's still a largely needless comment that, in today's environment, invites inflammatory responses.

We do have a forgiveness policy, yes, but it's not necessarily simply by time. In this case the behavior is very similar to behavior you have been warned about multiple times, and that is a good indication that perhaps the warnings have been insufficient up to that point. In this case some of those bans are definitely long enough ago that I'd have tossed them out of my judgement, but others were recent enough that you shouldn't be engaging in a discussion with the sort of language and tone that you were using.

Hey Jorencice,

As Djinn mentions below, some of those comments had to be removed because they were in response to the other person you were arguing with. While they individually would not have warranted deletion, it's important to remember that subthreads that devolve like that are just as inappropriate when taken in aggregate, sometimes more so because they create the mistaken impression that "this is how we argue." Just for the record, this is not how we argue.

My suggestion would be that finding yourself in a situation where you know you're being insulting and try to be clever so as to mitigate the directness of it, as with the "snowflake" reference, should be a warning sign that you're out of bounds and should probably bow out of the conversation. Sometimes it has to be okay to let someone be wrong on the internet.
