Rules

So.. I posted a thread that said Rules but it vanished and yet it never shows I posted one or that it was removed.. Weird?

Anyways...

The Rules are overly vague and used as a weapon. Example:

Look at the Gameplay Board right now. Almost all of the top posts are in direct violation of the Rules as they are actually "Rants" or very "Low Effort." However, they are not taken down because they are popular or various other reasons that if you mention, will get your post removed.

The fact that you cannot even talk about the problems tells you there is a problem. The only time Rules should prevent you from talking about a topic are things that are not related to the subject such as politics on a game forum, etc. Rules should never prevent you from discussing issues with the game or with moderation or the Rules themselves.

However, the Rules are used, in their vagueness, to deliberately target specific people. Must the same as downvotes are used against people as a weapon rather than as a way to disagree with the post itself.

So, my question is... Are we supposed to report all of the threads that are constantly made that violate the Rules despite the fact that they are fun threads? Because if we do not remove them, then a lot of other removed posts are only done so because of some kind of bias.

And if we do remove them, we remove fun from the boards because that is part of why we come here.

The fact that I have to ask this question says there is a problem that needs a serious discussion.
