We have found this generally isn't the case. Yeah, in rare circumstances good conversation comes from a rant post, but it doesn't change how often good content gets drowned out by complaint spam.

The entire moderation team would much prefer the ability to move threads. It would be easier for us and less frustrating for the community. So no, this isn't an accurate statement. I've asked about it multiple times.

if i am correct java and mysql. essentially it's just a index that needs to be changed and the position updated.

Or, perhaps, you're not quite an expert on the specifics of the League board code or the reasons it was built the way it is.
I fully agree that a move feature feels like something we should have, and I would personally have probably structured things differently. Neither of us, however, built the code database, so we can't really speak for why certain choices were made. The fact is that, right now, we do not have a move function.

no i'm sorry the old forum used mysql. i mixed up. But yes i think a move function is needed. and there for a boards update is needed.

Maybe instead of looking at the discussion like a mod look at it like a sensible human being. I know that hard to do but it'll help you see what we see. So what if it in the wrong board? That no excuse to delete a perfectly good thread that had a civil discussion (which is rare on the boards).
