Should I buy Malphite? Or someone else?

I have about 3150ip and Malphite costs 1350, so I was wondering if I should buy him or someone else. I already own Shen btw, and the only reason why I consider malphite is his new skin, so what do you think?

I like him against attack speed tops. He has great qualities as a fighter. He is the champ that can have the highest in game AD: a possible 908 AD (full AD runes and Masteries, 4 Infinity Edges and 2 The Bloodthirsters, and a level 5 Brutal strikes). With 100% crit from 4x Infinity Edges, plus IE's passive, totals up for a massive 2270 physical damage every basic. But that's not a viable build at all.
