This is the best image I could find that captures how Roald looks in my head. I based him off of Tarkus somewhat in terms of equipment and general badassery.

Note: Numbers and lore aren't finished yet, as I'm not really a good numbers guy, and Roald's current lore isn't up to my standards. Rest assured, though - Roald's lore will be JUST as badass as he is.

Playstyle: Roald is a heavy tank/fighter hybrid, who can freely switch between a tank and a fighter's skillsets by way of his stance ultimate. Roald has two stances; Tower Stance, where Roald fights with his sword and shield, and Reaver Stance, where Roald holds his blade in both hands. Tower stance focuses on defense and initiation, while Reaver Stance focuses on applying damage on locking enemies in place after initiating on them.

Roald is heavily based on being an initiator and lockdown specialist, with very little of his kit not going towards this purpose. Roald's lack of mobility when not on the charge or in combat cement this role, meaning that when Roald chooses to join the fight, he's there til the end.

Passive – Juggernaut: Roald starts out at 250 movement speed, which increases by 25 for each second that he moves, up to a cap of 375. As Roald's movement speed increases, his body becomes a living ram, dealing damage based on his movement speed to enemies he collides with. At his maximum movement speed increase, Roald pushes enemy minions out of the way as he bowls through them, and stuns the first enemy champion he collides with for .5/.75/1 second. When Roald collides with an enemy champion and stuns them, he becomes stationary, losing his passive speed bonus. Roald loses movement speed rapidly for each second he stands still, back down to 250.

**Q – Iron Force/Iron Cleaver: ** Tower Stance – Iron Force: Roald slams forward with his shield. Enemies hit by the shield are knocked back slightly. Enemies closer to Roald are knocked back further than enemies further away from him.

**Reaver Stance – Iron Cleaver:** Roald swings his blade in a wide circle. Enemies hit by the ability take physical damage and are pulled briefly along the path of the blade. Enemies hit by the tip of Roald's blade are pulled further than enemies hit by the middle or hilt.

W – Booming Roar/Crushing Blow:

**Tower Stance – Booming Roar:** Roald shouts, granting himself a shield, and shielding nearby allies for half the amount. Enemies caught in Booming Roar are silenced for one second and take a small amount of damage.

**Reaver Stance – Crushing Blow:** Roald slams his blade down in front of him after a brief delay, dealing immense damage in a line to enemies caught in the swing. Enemies hit by the tip of Roald's blade take more damage than those hit by the hilt.

E – Battle Charge/Impaler:

**Tower Stance – Battle Charge:** Roald raises his shield, gaining the full benefit of his passive instantly. While Battle Charge is active, Roald may run through enemy champions, stunning them and dealing additional damage to up to three enemy champions before consuming his passive, dealing more damage to each enemy champion he passes through. During Battle Charge, damage that connects on the front of Roald is reduced by 30%, while damage that connects to the back of Roald is increased by 30%.

**Reaver Stance - Impaler:** Roald lowers and thrusts forward with his sword after a brief delay, impaling the first enemy champion it hits, puncturing his enemy's armor and dealing damage. Afterward, Roald pulls his sword back, dragging his enemy with him, reapplying the spell's damage. Enemies hit by the tip of Impaler take more damage than enemies hit by the hilt.

R – Tower Stance/Reaver Stance: Roald switches between his defensive Tower Stance and his offensive Reaver Stance. Roald gains a short movement speed bonus after switching stances, and gains Armor and Magic Resist while in Tower Stance, and Attack Damage while in Reaver Stance.

Basic Kit explanation:

Basically, I designed Roald, from the ground up, to be a pure, hardcore initiation and lockdown champion. With the way his kit works, Roald performs best as a jungler, clearing his buffs in Reaver Stance before rapidly charging in with his passive or Tower-E to blitz the enemy laner, buffing his own teammates and proving a small knockback before switching back to Reaver stance to deal damage and keep the enemy in place. Outside of this core niche, Roald doesn't do much else. He's very vulnerable to being counter-ganked, due to his reliance on cooldowns and already being on the move to escape. If the tables are turned on Roald, he MIGHT be ale to escape with his Tower-E, but faces the risk of taking even more damage as his vulnerable backside is exposed during his speed boost.

I made most of his spells in Reaver stance have more power on further targets (hit by the tip effects) because I wanted to emphasize that Roald is an incrdibly heavy, strong man, with a huge weapon. His force and size play a part in his spells. Tower Stance's Q works in an inverse to this, as enemies closer to Roald when he lunges forward are knocked further back, further emphasizing his great size and strength. Reaver Stance is based on reach and power, while Tower Stance on closing in and being on top of your enemy.

Roald's biggest downside is his incredibly slow base movement speed. Roald would have, far and away, the LOWEST base MS in the game at 250, that slowly ramps up as he walks, and ramps back down as he stays stationary or consumes his passive. This means that escaping is very hard for Roald, and he must stick with the fight til the very end for the most part.

Characterization:

Roald is goddamned HUGE, and he knows it. He's a giant of a man, twice as tall and three times as wide as the average man, and strong enough to fight in full heavy plate and wield an enormous sword and shield and not be fully hampered by them. Roald values strength and will, and uses them to the fullest on the battlefield.

To Roald, it's move or be moved, because he won't stop for anyone.

Quotes:

Champion Select:

"Who do you want me to kill?"

Movement:

"Trampled underfoot."

"Here I come..."

"The ground trembles at my feet."

"Move, or be crushed."

"Nothing can hold me back."

"No retreat!"

"They are but gnats before me."

Attacking:

"Crush em'!"

"This is going to hurt."

"Bleed for me, worm!"

"Kneel!"

"Taste iron, mongrel!"

"I'll crush their bones to dust."

Jokes:

"Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, kid!"

"How's the weather up here? Windy."

Taunts:

"Did they tell me who I was fighting? Some dead men."

"If I had to watch out for every ant I may step on, I'd never be able to walk."

So, tell me what you think. Hit me with your best shot.

He looks amazing.

Is he intended to be built half tank/ half damage?

With his low movespeed, item 3078 item 3009 seem a bit required on him
