Splash art compared to in-game.

I tried looking this up, but couldn't find anything. Why is Kog'Maw a pinky sandy color in his art when he's silver and blue in-game?

I'd mention other champions who look rather different from their splash art (like Veigar being more blue than purple in-game) but Kog'Maw's coloration is really rather completely different. Is there a reason or this or is it just because?

Just curious.

i remember I thought there was some cool robot Kog'Maw skin or something when I was new to the game. Yeah this does bother me very much. Speaking of, I can't wait for them to unify all the void creatures so that they fit in with Vel and Kha more.

Usually it's a case of either the art or the model being updated without the other also being updated. I would imagine.

There are a lot of inconsistencies in old splash arts.

Ever notice DrMundo's is blue in splash but, in game, it's pink?
