Riot, How are things going in Runeterra?

It's been quite awhile since we've heard much about how things are going there. (Since the JoJ got shutdown I would think?)

Are things just stagnant, or is there some new content on the way?

It's just been so long since anything (that we've heard about) has happened at the Institute of War that it feels like you aren't planning to expand on the world that League of Legends takes place in.It would be a shame if that was the case, as you guys used to have some pretty awesome lore, but if you are planning to scrap all attempts at a unifying narrative, it would be appreciated if you let us know about it.

Because, I'm still kind of waiting for you guys to expand on the world of Runeterra. If you don't plan on doing so, I would be appreciate it if you let us know so that I don't get my hopes up.

This is old news. Riot has been quietly removing the "League of Legends" as a plot point from the entire game (See: no references to "Summoner" in a champ VoiceOver since 4800 champs, and every VU has removes those references from the VoiceOver)

The closest thing you're going to get to a lore event is something like Freljord: essentially advertising for a new champ/feature/whatever coupled with a little in game thing where "players get to decide what happens" and then it'll probably never be resolved.

The official word from Riot is that's better than real lore.

Considering the Lore discussion is completely absent from the Boards, I'm guessing they wanna forget that Runeterra ever existed.

Apparently, Riot thinks "plot is highly overrated." http://www.gamespot.com/articles/plot-is-highly-overrated-league-of-legends-designer-says/1100-6418368/

Sadly, I think things are not looking so good for Runeterra and its champions.

....part of me wants to get all good and up in arms over all this (the stuff in the comments particularly), but the rest of me just says there's basically nothing we can do. Anyone feel differently?
