@Riot, about the new champion
I and others (probably) are going crazy. I bet he's awesome, both character and kit, but the waiting is so painfull. Keep us hyped please! When is he coming? This or next PBE cycle? Hype me :3

Confirmed to be a top-laner, NOT Ao-Kuo-------I mean Ao Shin, and possibly may have a resource called Tantrum (speculation via datamining so not guaranteed).
Gonna go with soon(tm), sorry that's all I got myself
At first I thought that Tantrum was his resource bar, but the other 2 bars, "calm" and "warning"...I don't think it's for the new champion. I think it's more for the Shurima Event
How do you figure? I'm curious.
I was thinking the other 2 bars were separate layers of a resource, meaning once one bar fills the next comes up.
There is an "ascension" event in the files ( event, or something like that ) referring to Shurima. Braum even quotes it (" This has the smell of a faraway land, perhaps I shall see it one day " Happens when you buy Talisman of Ascension which is from Shurima ) and the first thing you think if you hear "tantrum" is surely Amumu, which comes from Shurima. So the Shurima theory kinda works I think
Yeah my first thought was Amumu as he has an ability of the same name. It might be a QoL indicator for the skill somehow but that'd a lot less exciting.
I did hear about the ascension files and the whispers of a Shiruma event. I don't really have much else to add except for my own excitement, because I'm REALLY hoping for expansion on Renekton's and Nasus' lore, or a re-write of them into an ancient Shiruma civ, as I know there was a mentioning of wanting to eliminate some of the extraneous 'dimensions' like Anivia's old lore and move champs origins into Runeterra.
We always do have the champion Seth, the sand mage who never came out. Maybe he will spark the shurima event after this newer one

Rumble's Heat meter has three different colors as well, doesn't it? Normal, Danger Zone, and Overheat.

Mmmmh...yeah, it could be this too, but tantrum, ascension, we have Amumu that has a skill named "tantrum"...I don't really know to be honest. I hope it's for the new champion really, but I'm thinking about Shurima too, and since they haven't announced anything yet..
I wouldn't get too hung up on the name of the resource bar, it's probably just an internal name given to it and may very well be Rumble's heat bar. It may have started out that the concept behind his overheating might have began as his "temper" raising instead of the mech, and the internal name just stayed as not to confuse or cause problems.
It may simply be a VU to his resource bar and nothing else, but I too hope it's tied into a Shurima Event, it'd be nice to see Seth in whatever forms he takes.
Heeeey they aren't just copying Smite lol, they liked the idea of a Chinese dragon and purposely chose a different one than Ao Kuang. I imagine some of their inspiration came from him (as his original kit had like tornadoes and stuff) but they are changing him a lot
Well it's actually more they're both drawing inspiration from the actual mythological figure (Smite directly and League indirectly), I'm still a fan of him and all, and I can see why they do, as Ao Kuang is truly the figurehead for eastern dragons. I also just find it interesting that Riot champ designers seem to stick to the insipration's name directly when modeling a character after them, i.e. WuKong and Sun WuKong, I wonder of there's some form of legal reason?
Hmmm probably not, but it could make some people mad. For instance Smite uses the actual gods and gives them form. The Goddess Kali from Hindu religion has pissed off a lot of religious nuts. They have even said they wont do Jewish/Christian/Islamic religion because people would freak out.
Yeah, although I also think having a monotheistic omnipotent deity would be hard to model. Polytheistic religions always make dieties into somewhat relatable characters with flaws and actual personalities, so that's just more fun to make :)
I think Smite tries to stick to "Dead" religions anyway. If there is nobody alive who practices the religion, there is nobody to complain that you have their god in your game.
I thought they did receive some complaints a while back (I think it may have been with respect to Shiva, or some goddess they had in a very revealing or unrealistic depiction)
Not this cycle. Cycle started already and wouldve been announced and on the PBE by now
I know but...I am still hoping D:
We apparently get about 3-4 champs a year now.
I must of missed where it was confirmed.. could I please have a link >.<
Confirmed what? The next champ being a melee top laner?

Thanks. :)
Tantrum = Amumu's Sibling Confirmed
