First win?

I picked up my first win last night at around midnight before I went to bed, and this morning I was playing and saw the expected ~12 hours remaining just before 10. I made a quick custom to see just how hard Yasuo's combos and plays were (it's a lot), and when I got out 40 minutes later, the client said my first win was up. I did an ARAM to test, and it's back to giving me the correct time. I wonder if it was because I did a lone custom, which doesn't reward IP?

This happens sometimes.

For me it when I take a look at someone else profile on the client. If there first win is ready, then your profile will say it a first win too until you close the client or go through a game.
