Not receiving Mastery token in Ascension

I got an S on Karma in ascension and I didn't get a token for it so I could upgrade to level 6.

You get mastery points so why wouldn't I get tokens from it as well?

Unless I'm confused and didn't have a token before, but I'm pretty sure I did.

You only get Mastery Tokens on Sum Rift.
