Weird champion splashes in new champ select

I posted this on the main boards but honnestly the more i look at it the more it looks like a bug so i'll give it a try here for clarity !

This is bothering me since i thought that's what they were made for. I randomly stumbled on a Nidalee on the new champion select and before i could screen sadly she locked, but this is mostly what i saw on the main circle on the center :

Her head was like almost out of the circle, which makes it look like a bug... And it's not only for Nidalee sadly, a lot of champions have this problem.

Now my question is, since we have for EVERY skin and splashes in the data folders of the game their centered version, why didn't you apply this instead to the selection :

I mean, what the hell are they in the game for anyway if not for that ? o.o

Just posting to confirm this is a thing and it looks very awkward. I've seen several other champion examples besides Nidalee and Shen but the only one that pops into mind at the moment is Warwick.

I don't know if it'd really be considered a bug in the sense that the game is doing something wrong, but it's definitely a bug in the sense that something is wrong visually. My guess is that the game is working fine but the art needs to be altered to fit in properly.

  • Game could be looking at the wrong art assets.
  • Splash art itself isn't centered.
  • Splash art is centered but the character is not.
  • Splash art and character are centered but the character's size/pose doesn't conform to the circle.
  • Something else entirely that hasn't occurred to me yet.
