Sivir spellshield giving mana but still taking damage
Specifically against varus's Q. I can't really give repro steps other than trying to spellshield as close to the effect as possible.

This is the third time I've seen this reported.
Do you know whether or not Varus had Blight stacks on you for the Q to proc? It may be possible that Q itself was negated, but it procced the Blight stacks for damage.
many spells also have multiple components to them and spellshields only block one of them.
some examples are: from leonas E, only the damage and snare are blocked but not the passive and the pull. from fizz R only the initial contact with the fish is blocked but the sharks damage and knock cant be blocked at all. from jarvans EQ combo only the Qs damage and armor pen are blocked but not the knockup.
many spells work like that and if varus hits you and procs blight stacks, the stacks explode and you take damage. its also possible that the stacks actually explode FIRST and you block their damage with the spellshield and only then you take damage from the actual arrow hit. this depends on coding and is pretty random across league.
