Lobby Join Black Screen of Death

As of recently occasionally when my friends and I attempt to join a normal game (It has only affected normals so far, it may happen to ranked as well) that upon all of us accepting a game we try loading into the champion select and all of us get black screens where we don't have any noise even to indicate that we are in the lobby and we just can't see. It's just a black screen with no noise or anything else. Then eventually when the lobby timer runs out it tells all of us that we dodged the lobby and we get the usual temporary delay until we can queue again. I'm not sure why this is happening, maybe it's a bug with 5.18 has anyone else been experiencing this annoying inconvenience?
