Jarvan being held in the air by Yasuo

I was playing today, and I landed a 5 man knockup. , my teammate, ulted, and held 6 of us in the air (5 enemy and J4). I basically got cc'd by my mid laner, even though his ult should not have affected me.

How do I know I was cc'd? I couldn't cast my R or use Hydra active for however long Yasuo's ult is, and I was in the air the whole time.
