Unable to change summoner spells (Spell select box appears completely black)

tl;dr Tried to change summoner spells. Summoner Spell box us completely black. Forced to dodge a ranked game.

What I did that led to the bug:

1. During champ select, Tried to change Summoner Spell.
2. Click The summoner spell I wanted to change.
3. Complete inside of summoner spell box was blocked out; could not see any summoner spells.
4. Tried clicking where the spell should be; no response.
5. Tried to change 2nd summoner spell, same result.
6. Relaunched client while still in champ select.
7. Same problem was a result.
8. Relaunched client again (while still in champion select), same problem was a result.

This problem ended with me either taking smite mid on Xerath, or dodging the RANKED game I was in. To the approval of my team, I chose to instead dodge the game. This resulted in my loss of LP and temporary unable to queue up for another game. No telling how much LP I will loose as a result of this via tilt.

Is there any way some kind of dodge-forgiven is possiable? Surely you can see that I relogged 2 times in champ select as a result of trying to fix this bug. Did not screenshot it in time because I was relaunching client trying to fix it.
