I just played a game with Nid. I got smacked up pretty bad. But while I was clearing camps I noticed if I landed my Spear on camps big monster and scuttles they were stunned. I didn't really notice it on Buff camps. Just thought i share. I am no Nid pro just wanted to play her and noticed it was happening with no description of stuns in her ability for spear.

It's not her spear, it's her passive. If Nidalee marks a jungle monster with her passive, they are rooted for 2 seconds.
PROWL Moving through brush increases Nidalee's Movement Speed by 10% for 2 seconds, increased to 30% toward visible enemy champions within 5500 range.
Hitting champions or monsters with Javelin Toss and Bushwhack triggers a Hunt, revealing them for 4 seconds. During this time, Nidalee gains 10% Movement Speed (increased to 30% toward the Hunted target) and her first Takedown and Pounce are enhanced against them.
This said absolutely nothing about rooting monsters not even in the Q.
Javelin Toss / Takedown Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 Mana Range: 1500 In human form, Nidalee throws a spiked javelin at her target that gains damage as it flies. As a cougar, her next attack will attempt to fatally wound her target, dealing more damage the less life they have. Human: Nidalee tosses her javelin, dealing 60/77.5/95/112.5/130 (+40% Ability Power) magic damage. If it exceeds her basic attack range, it gains damage based on distance flown, up to a potential 180/232.5/285/337.5/390 (+120% Ability Power) total damage.
