Alt tabbing causing DirectX error

Hoping this resolves itself, but for the last day I've been kicked out of a couple different games from this issue.

I often watch youtube videos while waiting for ques, and then I alt tab to switch screens and turn them off when the game starts.

For some reason doing that in the last day has caused League to crash and it says "unknown directx error, cannot start League of Legends" or something to that extent every time I try to reconnect.

Restarting fixes it, but only temporarily so long as I don't alt tab again. Not sure if this is League or something to do with DirectX drivers, but I thought I would drop a report here in case other people are having the same problem.

I've had the same problem for a week now. I have no idea how to fix it and it has cost me 3 ranked games and set me up for a low priority que. Posting to see if any solution has been found.

I've been having the same exact issues. Drivers are up to date. Did a client fix. Still get error after alt tabbing. I have gotten low priority queue twice now for this bug.

i am having the same problem at the moment and the riot support still couldnt solve it... it always happens when youtube is in the background and i am alt tabbing... i didnt had this issue 2 months ago, but trying old drivers didnt work for me

Same here, but Riot seems to not care about this. I reboot my pc and get in the game who was not finished but even it was a victory i lost LP .... Thanks Riot. Realy thanks .
