Camera locking and impossible to unlock.

There might be a mechanic i'm missing.. But this is extremely annoying. Not sure what the cause of it is, but when I use an ability that displaces a far distance such as a global ult or stasis/displacement ability, every once in a while the camera will lock and will be impossible to unlock.

When I say impossible to unlock, I'm saying the camera will center on your champion and none of the buttons for camera movement will work. Nope, not Y or the button on the bottom right to the left of your map, or space, which toggles the camera being centered on your champion. I've tried spamming all three to no avail. This really shoehorns me into playing only on what I can see on the screen and the map, I can't look ahead and time my attacks. Is there any fix or is there a mechanic i'm missing?

The only trick I've found that solves it is restarting my PC.. i've sifted through the hotkeys and options and nothing has worked so far. Why are there so many options to lock the camera? Can't you just have one, or two at most? I've seen four so far.
