Task Bar showing in game and then unable to reconnect

I get into a game. The task bar is showing and I can't remove it so I try reconnecting. When I try to reconnect I get a DirectX error and cannot join. I try to reconnect again: bugsplat. Try to reconnect: Cannot join. Check your internet and try again (although my internet was fine). I managed to connect the 4th time and the task bar was gone but I was already 4 minutes in and I was way behind and eventually we lost because of that. It was a ranked game btw. I think this is the 3rd time it happens to me. Is it just me? Is it my PC's fault? Has it happened to anyone else?
