Summoner Name Change Issue

This is not exactly my problem, but I would like to report a potential flaw in your name changing system. I have a friend who wanted to change his name to the same name with the same letters but different spacing and capitalization. However, when he tried to change his name to the newly designed name, he was told by the client that the summoner name was unavailable. I know that this is because the system recognized that the name was in fact taken, but it was taken by the person who was trying to change the name. Therefore, he would have to change his name twice in order to get the same name that he had before. I think that the potential problem is implied, and I just wanted to report it in case anyone else will have similar problems in the future.
