Game wouldn't remake...

Just started a ranked game and as I loaded in, I litterally couldn't do ANYTHING. I couldn't move, I couldn't press anything, no buttons were working, I couldn't press esc to leave the game, I couldn't even ALT F4 out. So I ALT Tabbed, went to task manager closed the game and reloaded back in. Still couldn't do anything. As I'm sitting there waiting for the 3 minute mark, it comes and to surprise we couldn't remake for some reason even though my character hadn't moved once the single game. Had to hard reset my computer for it to work but by that time the game was 100% over. Thankfully my teammates were very kind and not toxic to me and said it was ok and that they understood. But it feels bad that they all had to lose a ranked game because for whatever reason out of the thousands of games played this had to be the game where litterally nothing works. I'd like to know why this happened and how to prevent it.
