Just played a ranked game where enemy team had warwick, I made sure I had cleanse up when I saw him and when he ulted me I wasn't able to use cleanse. I asked people in that game if I could cleanse that ult and all of them said yes but it wouldn't let me use it while he had me ulted. Any explanation?!?!

They were all wrong.
Cleanse only removes blind, charm, flee, slow, polymorph, silence, root, stun and taunt and damage-over-time effects. It doesn't remove suppression, knockup, knockback, pull and self crowd control. Warwicks ult is a suppression.
Nope doesnt remove ww or malz ult
Warwicks ultimate causes Suppression (Same goes for Malzahar and Urgot). Cleanse does not remove Suppression. You want 
, which removes all disables, including Suppression.
