My screen BLACKS OUT when launching the loading screen. (CAN'T PLAY AT ALL)

After champion select, when the loading screen should appear, I get a fully black screen with a single white pixel in the very center. I can't tab out of the screen. I never load into my game. I have to restart my computer to just close the program.

I've been trying to change my settings to see if I can get around the bug, but recently, after my last attempt, when I reload the client I get a message that says "there was an unexpected error with the login session. Please try again." with an "OK" button (the only option). The client just shuts down! It doesn't even try to restart the loading screen!

This is so infuriating, I can't even gain access to the client, let alone the game itself!

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?? I'm just worried that it will go unnoticed and I won't be able to play at all for the rest of the season!

[EDIT] I think the login bug is about the issue that Riot is currently working on. The black screen is still an issue, however.

[EDIT 2] Actually, my login problem seems to be a separate bug. I still get the login error pop-up when I try to load the client. The main login issue seems to have been fixed according to client status. I guess I'll have to uninstall and reinstall the game...again...

Happened to me as well, except I was able to alt+tab out after a minute or two and then open up task manager and force close the League of Legends. Oddly, though, the black loading screen wouldn't close and remained even though it was no longer listed in task manager. I was able to log back into the LoL client but it still said I was in the game and did not give the option to reconnect (assuming because it considered the black loading screen as me being in the game). I attempted to force close it again, and again the client closed and the black loading screen remained. So I waited a minute, and suddenly another instance of League of Legends popped up into my Task Manager that hadn't been there before, without me having attempted to reopen it. I force closed that instance as well, the black screen went away and I logged back in and it autoconnected me into the game without me having to click to reconnect.

I played through the game, ended up with a positive k/d and winning (was an aram game, we had lost all but nexus towers and had lost our inhib by the time it loaded in and we had not done any damage as far as I could see to the enemy's first tower). Because of the client issue, I did not get any rewards for "AFK behavior." I was essentially punished for the client error, even though I made multiple logins and attempts to rejoin. If I get a mark against me for "AFK behavior" regardless of what I do, once the client messes up what is the point of me trying to rejoin at that point? There's no incentive for me to try to rejoin because, either way, I'll still be punished, I'll still have a mark against me, and I'll get no reward for completing the game no matter what. Might as well spend my time elsewhere if everything else is the same. If I get banned because of Riot's mess ups, Riot won't ever see me or my $ back.
