[CLIENT] Chat/Friend Status Issue

Problem:

My friends cannot see that I am online; they can however message me if I message them. I don't think they can invite me to games either. I have confirmed with multiple friends that I am in fact "offline" even I'm logged in and can see my friends list.

Attempted Solutions:

I tried logging off and logging on; it did not fix the issue.

Other information:

Had update issues as Avast once again believes League of Legends to be a virus. That was rectified the usual way. I also am a user of mobile chat (I appear "offline", not mobile, however during my relog I did get messages on my mobile in response to the last message I had sent before logging).

UPDATE: Root cause analysis

Launching my mobile app fixed my in client online status. It seems to be some interaction between the client and mobile.

Update 2:

Apparently I show up online, but my actual status doesn't change (i.e. my friends see a green dot but can't invite me to a game because I'm in one).
