Move and others bindings stop working after Hotkey change

If I open the menu and rebind a hotkey during a game, after I save the changes, bindings of mine stop working. These include, but are probably not limited to: right-click (move) and also esc (open menu)... so I can't even go back into the hotkey menu to see if other hotkeys got changed. The only hotkey I rebound was a quick-cast item hotkey. This was not a singular occurrence.

Also, when esc stops working, I also can't bring up the menu by clicking the options button. A lot of keys still work...I can shop, use abilities, sometimes a-move, unlock camera... but I just lose the ability to move. This has happened in normal and custom games.

on a side note...why do we have to be in-game to change hotkeys? :(
