Test game?

So, I log into client after repairing and get a LeaveBuster warning (presumably because I didn't show up for the game I queued for). How do I make sure it doesn't happen again without screwing over 4 more people?

Here's a rundown of what happened

1. log into client just fine
2. queue up for game just fine
3. pick champs just fine
4. game crashes just before loading screen
5. bug splat error comes up
6. reconnect
7. bug splat error comes up
8. repeat 6 and 7 a few times
9. look up solutions
10. try solutions
11. admit defeat and repair client. Go cry in corner because 4 people probably hate me and I couldn't even knowingly avoid the problem.

So is a bot game sufficient to test to see if the game won't crash or is there something else I have to do? Please help. I don't want temp ban because of something I don't know how to avoid.
