Shaco's Boxes

Sometimes when I place a box in front of Gromp it doesn't trigger. It has happened to me twice in both sides of the map. Both times it has happened I've been in combat with it. In order to then trigger the box I had to make Gromp chase me from where it was attacking me.

I tried replicating but I've had no luck. I'll keep on trying though.
