Elise Not Affected by Ashe Ult?

I was in a game and sent my ult at Elise, the hit animation went off but Elise just turned and moved away, her movement wasn't even slowed. As far as I could tell Banshee's Veil was not activated (no animation, no sound, nothing to indicate it's activation - she was the only champ in the area besides me).
