I know you are trying to work on it but how did I lose lp in a ranked game and my duo partner didn't

I know I read that there is a problem with it and you are working on it. Still why was i the only one to lose lp from the ranked game? Is that the way it was supposed to happen? IF so then why did my duo partner not lose LP? What's going on? Is there a way to give back my lp? Or what? I don't understand.
