4v5 from Champ Select [CLIENT] [GAMEPLAY]
Hi. So, I'm likely about to be placed in a low-priority queue because of this issue. I had queued up for a normal game with a friend, and we were in champ select when I had a power outage. This power outage lasted for roughly 11-12 minutes, which I wasn't too concerned about. The game didn't start, my friend'll wonder where I went but I can get some stuff done! So I go about my day. I make myself a sandwich, I start to clean, bla bla. Power comes back on, so as I'm doing my business, I text my friend "Sorry, power went out". Two minutes later I get, "I told 'em! :P". Okay, that's weird. So I ask, "Wait, did the fucking GAME START?" To which I'm told, "Yep". I had a power outage in CHAMPION SELECT, and this was with ~40 seconds left in the timer. And it continues, and even starts the game. I'm trying to connect in the background while I type this, but it's too late. More than 10 minutes have gone by, and it takes ~6-8 minutes of afk for you to be deemed worthy of punishment by LeaverBuster. So I'm expecting myself to log on to a Low Priority queue notice because the game started when I wasn't even in the lobby.
How to reproduce this bug; I'm not actually sure, I'll just state what I think goes on.
- Get in to a lobby.
- Everyone picks a champion
- Hard-shutdown on your computer. That is to say, don't give it the option to go through closing everything. This is a panic-turnoff, like a power outage. Just cut the power. Unplug it, whatever.
- Game will continue as normal.
I know that Riot can't do anything about my leaverbuster, so I'm just going to take it and grind Co-Op vs AI through it like I always do, but something needs to be done, because this is just BS.
