Queue dodge penalty even with selection/ban

As the title describes.

• Select preferred champion
• Ban champion (clicking button)
• All bans confirmed, my preferred champion survives!
• Wait my turn
• Click "Lock In"
• Wait, no sound. Button isn't working?
• OMGWTF WHAT IS HAPPENING
• Clock ticks down
• I am apparently a "queue dodger"

This precise order of events happened at least 3x to me...once in a critical series to promo from Bronze to Silver.

It's frustrating in the extreme. Especially the enforced 6 minute timeout. I get that a penalty needs to be applied to prevent casual dodging. But you have powerful data analysis tools, Riot. You can tell a casual dodger from a poor schmuck like me who experiences bugs in your game on the regular. Please address this.
