MAJOR MAJOR BUG WITH NEW CHAMP SELECT

So I was playing solo Q and I went afk in champion select when it was my turn to pick. I ended up losing my series and stayed in my current elo JUST BECAUSE I DIDNT PICK MY CHAMPION. WHAT KIND OF LOGIC IS THIS?

Pls rito, I dont care if I lose LP pls just dont make me lose my series whenever I go afk. It takes about 5 games for me to win my series again...
