Champion select never loading error

I que'd up for a ranked game and accepted the que. Champion select never loaded and I was left with this black screen for about 2-3 minutes. Then I was kicked out of the game for not picking a champion and was given a loss and lost lp for it.

Not really sure what happened and why it never loaded, but it would be cool if it could be fixed so it doesnt happen anymore. Not that losing the 21 lp is that big of a deal but it would be nice if I could get the lp back and not have the loss since it was a client bug.
