Auto Default Skin

I've had this happen on more than one occasion where I'll play a champ with a skin, and play them again, and when the skin selection comes up, it shows the skin I was using and want to use. However when I get to the loading screen and in game, it's the default skin. Why does this happen? It's kind of annoying.
