[GAMEPLAY] During games my frame stops completely until i move my mouse

This started about 1-2 months ago, almost every game if i don't constantly move my mouse, the screen simply stops refreshing until i move my mouse. Using the key board doesn't help, so opening shop, holding down tab, or trying to chat the screen freezes and it's hard to tell what is going on without any visual cues. I tried recording the screen with video capture, but it never freezes during recording, thus i can't show a vid

anyone has any idea as to why this could be happening??

I have a mac book pro Retina, 13in, late 2013 2.4GHz intel core i5 8GB ram intel iris 1538 MB graphics

EDIT: I seem that if I ever tab-out of the game (including the loading screen), the frame starts to freeze once I come back
