Dodging a game during your promos counts as a loss automatically. Don't dodge them.

Did you get a message saying you lost your series, or did you just notice your LP dropped below 100 after your loss?

Your LP will drop below 100 if you lose the first game of your promos. That doesn't mean your promos is over, it's just keeping track of what LP to put you on if you lose it.

LP was 80, but with no indication I was even in a series. at this point I've won (whee!) so I think it's just a clarity bug. still a bug though.

So if you clicked on Leagues your name was not in the top section showing you as "X _ _" in a series? Then it's a clarity bug for sure.

After the loss, you didn't see "X _ _" in the post-match screen? Same.

Otherwise, if you just click on your profile and see 80LP I don't see the problem. You are at 80LP after the first loss, you're just also still in your series. It's a clarity thing from the reverse perspective - so when you lose promos 0-2 and drop to 62 LP you see that it was -20 -18 rather than a -38 all at once. If it didn't show it would look pretty weird how sometimes you lose promos and drop around 40LP and other times you lose promos and only drop around 20LP (when it's 1-2).
