A bug that I ran into

Okay so this bug that I had was a little odd. When I went to play a match and got to pick my champion everything was working fine but as soon as it went to the match, the client got stuck on This Game is still in progress. Not just that but the loading screen that shows all the champions on the teams never showed up. I was playing with a friend at the time and was on the phone with him, so he told me that it loaded into game and they were already 5 minutes in while I was stuck on the game still in progress thing. I literally had to restart the client but then the client froze and I couldn't exit or anything. so by this time my friend is 12 minutes into the match and I had to restart my computer and resign in to my pc nd load up the client again by the time I had finished all of this, My game that I was suppose to be in was put on remake by my team, counting as a lose for me and making me look bad. I was really upset by this because this has never ever happened to me before. What type of bug would this even be? It's happened to a couple of my friends too just never thought I would run into it. Guess I was wrong >.<
