Possible Zed bug?

I recently picked up Zed to try and learn. He seems really good. But I'm running into a problem.

I'm finding there are times when I throw out my W shadow and instead of it simply appearing, I automatically jump to it. Putting me out of position and denying me the shadow for aide. I'm curious if anyone else has run into this problem.
